MetaShield is designed with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following information:
The extension operates entirely locally within your browser. When you activate the shield, it compares the current website's URL against a local list of official domains (like metamask.io, opensea.io). All computations and string similarity checks are performed strictly on your local machine.
Our extension requires the activeTab and scripting permissions. This is used to scan the specific tab you are currently viewing ONLY when you explicitly click the "Activate Shield" button. We cannot read pages you do not activate the extension on.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle data, please contact us.
